Brass Ensemble performing at grocery stores

The Salvation Army Brass Ensemble has performed Christmas music several times during the holiday season for shoppers at Pavilions while they place their donations in the Red Kettle.

One of the unique things about it was that the ensemble members were Lt. Eric Rudd, recently appointed Salvation Army, Burbank Corps officer; his daughter Chloe Rudd, his mother Major Mariam Rudd, his father Major Bob Rudd, and his friend Major Doug Peacock. Watching the ensemble were Lt. Kari Rudd, corps officer, and Elaine Paonessa, Salvation Army board member.

Since 1891, the Red Kettle and the Silver Bell have been associated with the Christmas season. Countless millions of people have been helped with food and social services all year in corps all over the world from the funds received during this event.

To volunteer for the Angel Tree, Adopt a Family, help pack food boxes, help distribute Toys, or to contribute financially, call Paonessa at (818) 845-6851 or Carlos Figueroa at (818) 845-7214.
