The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department.

Area 1

1100 block of North Parish Place

Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, a residential burglary occurred. A bedroom window was forced open and a computer laptop and cell phone were stolen from the home.

400 block of North Pass Avenue

Between 6 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 6, the side door of a home’s garage was opened and CDs were stolen from the residence.

Intersection of West Olive Avenue and West Alameda Avenue

At 1:50 a.m. on Jan. 4, Burbank police saw a 16-year-old driver make an unsafe U-turn. The teen reportedly admitted to taking the car from a 7-Eleven parking lot and police arrested him for alleged vehicle theft. While the teen was in custody, police discovered the vehicle had been stolen during a carjacking with a gun in Studio City by a similar looking suspect.

Intersection of West Santa Anita Avenue and South Lake Street

At 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 6, two women and a 4-year-old girl avoided being hit by a car that abruptly pulled into their driveway before taking off on South Lake Street. The vehicle was allegedly driven by Raul Torres, 65, with whom the women told officers they had trouble in the past. Officers attempted to locate the gray 1984 Chevrolet sedan, but were unsuccessful.

Area 2

1400 block of Scott Road

At 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 4, a man called out to a 35-year-old Burbank woman walking in the area of McCambridge Park while sitting in his white Honda or Toyota vehicle. When the woman approached his passenger window, she saw the man was masturbating and ran toward the park. The man — between 25 and 30 years of age, medium build with short, dark hair and a mustache — attempted to follow her in his car.
