Obituary: Claude James Welker

Claude James Welker, who grew up in Burbank, died Feb. 9. He was 69.

Born Dec. 5, 1941, Welker attended William McKinley Elementary School, David Starr Jordan Junior High School and John Burroughs High School. He served in the Army in the late 1950s.

He lived in the Palm Springs and the San Jacinto area most of his adult life. He passed away in Glendale.

He is survived by his twin sister, Claudette Welker de la Torriente, a Burbank resident.
