Area 1: Intersection of West Victory Boulevard and North Catalina Street

At 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 17, a man sitting in a car made a kissing sound at a 13-year-old girl walking home from school. When she looked over, the man was stroking his genitals and the girl ran toward her home. The incident was not immediately reported because the family did not believe they had enough information.

The man was described as Latino, in his 30s with black bushy hair and a black mustache. He was driving a red, older, four-door compact vehicle with tinted rear windows. The girl said the car had patches of rust.

1300 block of Pass Avenue

At 11:10 p.m. on March 16, a door window pane was removed from a home. No suspects were seen and the residents did not immediately discover the theft from inside the home.

Area 2

3000 block of North Buena Vista Street

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on March 16, a man knocked on the front door of a home. When the babysitter did not answer, he smashed a rear-door window to enter the house, but was scared away. He drove away in an older, maroon vehicle, possibly BMW 545i, with tinted windows.

The man was described as Latino with a shaved head, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with a strong build. He was wearing a dark jacket, dark blue jeans and black gloves.

800 block of East Providencia Avenue

Between 1:45 and 4:15 p.m. on March 15, a residential burglary occurred. No suspects were seen, but the living room window of the home was smashed and jewelry was discovered to be missing.

600 block of North San Fernando

Between 1 and 3:10 p.m. on March 12, an in-dash stereo was taken from a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck while parked in the IKEA garage. The front passenger’s-side door lock was punched out.

Between 2 and 4:20 p.m. on March 13, an in-dash stereo and GPS unit were stolen from a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe while parked in the IKEA garage. The front driver’s-side door lock was punched out.

200 block of South First Street

Between 5:40 and 8:30 p.m. on March 12, an in-dash stereo and GPS system were stolen from a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado while in the Black Angus parking lot. The front driver’s-side door lock was punched out.
