Richard ‘Dick’ Howe

Beloved father and grandfather, passed away March 17, 2011, born June 9, 1920 to Norman and Louise Howe. Glendale High Class of 1939. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a photographer with the 1902nd Engineer Aviation Battalion in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He operated Dix Pix Portrait Studio in Glendale for 20 years before going on to sell real estate. He then ran Doggie Dinner, a home pet food delivery business for 30 years until retiring in his 80’s. He was president of the Sertoma Club 72-73 and the governor of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #652 02-04. He was a member of the Los Angeles Live Steamers, Steam Automobile Club of America, Western Antique Power Associates and 3D Stereo Picture Club, VFW Post 8310, American Legion Post 0150, the Elites Organ Music Club, Circle of Fifths, and a senior piano class. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laurene and son, Douglas. He is survived by his daughters Sherrie Howe and Bonnie Pearson (Pat) and grandsons Rory Howe and Glenn Pearson. A memorial will be held Sunday, April 17th at 2pm at Sunland Neighborhood Church, 10632 Oro Vista Avenue, Sunland, CA.
