Burbank officer involved in crash

The Burbank Police Traffic Bureau is investigating an officer-involved collision that took place on Third Street, between Palm Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard a few hours ago, Officer Joshua Kendrick said.

At about 2:45 p.m. today, an on-duty officer in an unmarked vehicle was travelling on Third Street when a collision occurred, Kendrick said, adding that the details of the collision were not clear and that no major injuries were reported.

The officer was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center for precautionary reasons, Kendrick added.

The names of the officer and of the driver were not immediately released.
