Police to host no-questions-asked drug drop-off

Share

Burbank police will be partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to provide a no questions asked drop-off for prescription drugs and other unwanted pills.

Authorities have been promoting the drop-offs as a safe way to rid homes of unwanted drugs, instead of introducing them to water supplies by flushing them down toilets, or leaving them in reach of children and teens.

The public will be able to drop off their expired, unused, and unwanted pills at the Burbank police station, 200 North Third St., in the rear parking lot, free of charge.

During the DEA’s two previous National Prescription Drug Take-back Day events, Los Angeles area residents turned in more than 24,000 pounds of medicine at more than 120 sites staffed by federal, state and local law enforcement partners, according to organizers.
