Valuables worth $40K taken in home burglary

Approximately $36,000 in jewelry and more than $4,000 in electronics were stolen from a home on Magnolia Boulevard last week, police said.

A camcorder and laptop were among the items missing, and it’s possible entry was made when a bathroom window screen was removed, Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick said. He added the resident said the window was open, and police believe that was how entry and exit was made. There were no signs of forced entry, Kendrick said.
