Burbank officers, volunteers honored

The Magnolia Park Optimist Club honored several employees from the Burbank Police Department this past week during a dinner held at Elks Lodge.

Those honored were Police Officer of The Year Harry Tarrell, Police Reserve Lieutenant Ken Crossman, civilian employee and records department manager Jennifer Guevara and Denise Fleck, volunteer and president of Volunteers of The Burbank Animal Shelter.

Burbank Police Chief Scott LaChasse introduced each recipient, who was presented a plaque and certificate.

Long time Optimist Club President Terry Scott opened the dinner and presided over the meeting part of the event. The Police Department had several members and guests in attendance including the command staff. Several Burbank Animal Shelter volunteers were also in attendance to see Fleck honored.
