Two men robbed a Burbank woman at gunpoint Tuesday evening as she entered her apartment, police said.

The 26-year-old woman was walking toward the apartment she shares with her boyfriend on the 200 block of Burbank Boulevard at about 6:25 p.m. when she noticed a man standing in the path to the complex, Burbank Police Officer Cindy Guillen said.

“She didn’t think much of it, and as she got close to the apartment, he pointed a [handgun] at her and told her to go into the apartment,” Guillen said.

The man and an accomplice then rummaged through her apartment, telling the woman they were looking for marijuana and cash.

“Apparently, the victim’s boyfriend used to own a marijuana dispensary,” Guillen said.

The woman, who police did not identify, was not harmed. The men reportedly stole $200 from the apartment and the fled on foot, Guillen said.

The first man is described as black with green eyes, about 6 feet tall and 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing a light blue flannel and blue jeans.

The second man was also described as black, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and about 6-feet 3-inches tall, police said.
