A collision involving an MTA bus and two vehicles in North Hollywood Friday morning left two men critically injured and four other people with minor injuries.

Paramedics were sent to the 12600 block of Sherman Way after a 9:12 a.m. call about the crash, said Los Angeles City Fire spokesman Brian Humphrey. Sherman Way was closed between Bellaire and Whitsett avenues as the LAPD investigated the collision, he said.

Humphrey said that witnesses said the bus and a vehicle described as a “black full-sized sedan” collided head on, and that another vehicle, either an SUV or “compact wagon,” then collided into either the back of the bus or the sedan.

The sedan “came to rest beneath the passenger side of the bus,” according to witnesses, Humphrey said. The female driver of the bus was not injured, but the male drivers of the two other vehicles were critically injured and taken to a local hospital.
