A transient with a history of run-ins with police was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly threatened to kill the manager of a CVS Pharmacy in Burbank.

The homeless man, Anjan Kumar Ray, allegedly made the threat as he was being handcuffed for loitering outside of the store about 6:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of Verdugo Avenue, Sgt. Darin Ryburn said.

The manager had reportedly asked Ray to leave the store. He refused, and allegedly began yelling and pushing the manager. When police arrived to arrest him, Ray, 48, then allegedly threatened to kill the manager.

Ray was arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats and on six outstanding arrest warrants, Ryburn said.
