Outsiders may equate Burbank with planes and cars due to its proximity to Bob Hope Airport and Interstate 5 (I-5), but the city’s sidewalks are starting to get some attention.

Burbank was ranked No.12 on a list of the 25 best cities for walking in the country in Prevention magazine.

The article cited Universal City Walk and nature paths as popular destinations on foot.

“Studio executives have been known to ditch their wheels to walk to nearby lunch appointments,” the magazine said.

Glendale was also on the list, coming in at No.22.
