Burbank police officials say they believe three men were involved in a brawl at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center Friday that left one man bloodied and beaten.

A woman and her boyfriend were visiting her mother in the hospital about 6:45 p.m. Friday when her three brothers arrived and allegedly attacked her boyfriend, Sgt. Darin Ryburn said. The brothers told the man to leave and when he didn’t, they attacked.

Police declined to release their identities.

“One of the suspects pulled out an object and began hitting the boyfriend on the head, and then all three men began striking him in the face with their fists,” Ryburn said.

The three men were seen fleeing the hospital room in the South Tower as nurses called police, Ryburn said.

The victim, 31, required stitches to the back of his head, Ryburn added.

Police identified the suspects only by ages 32, 30 and 25, and are asking anyone with information to call the investigations bureau at (818) 238 3210.
