Good morning, readers. Today is Sunday, July 8, 2012. If you’re planning on driving down the 405 this morning, prepare for delays as a main San Fernando Valley artery will be closed from 5:30 until 11 a.m.

Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D-Silver Lake) voted in favor of a bill that bans using hounds for hunting bears and bobcats after 2,000 signed a petition when he didn’t originally vote on the measure. Glendale News-Press
