Democratic activist dies of lung cancer
Roz Teller, a local Democratic activist, died Aug. 31 after a short battle with lung cancer.
She was a member of the Los Angeles Democratic Party Central Committee, serving on the resolutions and judicial interview committees. She was also a member of the California Democratic Party Executive Board and the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley, serving as the credentials chairwoman.
Last year, she was named a Democratic Volunteer of the Year.
Professionally, Teller was a consultant to nonprofit organizations. Her age could not immediately be confirmed.
