Good morning, readers. Today is Monday, September 10. A bear that crossed the 210 Freeway and ended up in a Montrose neighborhood early Sunday is heading back to Angeles National Forest.

California Department of Fish and Game officials tranquilized the bear after he was spotted in the area of Florencita Lane and Montrose Drive. The bear crossed the 210 Freeway early Sunday morning, prompting CHP officials to temporarily close the freeway. Los Angeles Times
