Cause of death for man found near Burbank off-ramp under investigation

The body of a man was found near the Scott Road off-ramp and the Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank Tuesday night, according to police.

Few details were released by Burbank police, who described the man only as being white. Burbank firefighter paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene shortly after arriving at about 5:55 p.m., according to police.

The death of the man, whose identity was not immediately known, was being treated as “suspicious” by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, police said in a statement.

The investigation into the cause of death remained ongoing Tuesday.
