San Fernando Valley roundup: Mobile ads irk Burbank residents, Prostitution sting nets 17 arrests and 'Julius Caesar' comes to Encino

Good morning, readers. Today is Friday, October 5. Police conducted a sting this week to curb prositution at a busy stretch of Lankershim Boulevard.

The operation led to at least 17 arrests, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Burbank residents are peeved that a company is storing mobile ads in their city that advertise "Topless Maids," reports NBC Los Angeles. “Burbank is a very conservative city. I can understand why they’re upset with it," Los Angeles Councilman Dennis Zine told NBC.
