Two men believed to have stolen from a car in Burbank allegedly led police on a car chase early Saturday morning after failing to stop at two stop signs near Edison Boulevard and Evergreen Street.

While allegedly driving erratically to evade officers, they crashed their silver Jetta into a garage and fled on foot, said Lt. Eddie Ruiz.

One of the suspects, Johnny Mangandi, 22, of North Hollywood was arrested around 3:20 a.m., after he was allegedly found hiding in a nearby apartment complex with a stolen wallet. The second suspect remains at large.

Mangandi was booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. He’s being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and is due in court on Tuesday.
