Boy, 4, survives 35-foot fall from window after jumping on bed

A 4-year-old boy who, while jumping on his bed, fell from his second story window on Tuesday in Burbank survived the 35-foot fall with scalp lacerations and a bloody nose, police said.

Burbank police and fire officials were called to the scene in the 300 block of East Andover Drive just before 5 p.m., Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn said Wednesday.

The boy, who was not identified, was transported to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where he was treated for his injuries.

He was held overnight for observation, Ryburn said.
