Burbank police seek leads on armed Starbucks robber
Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who reportedly flashed a handgun while robbing a Starbucks last week in the 300 block of Pass Avenue.
The man -- who police described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall with an athletic build and as wearing a Raiders jacket -- entered the coffee shop at 9 p.m. last Friday and asked for a glass of water.
He subsequently flashed a handgun in his waistband, led the employee to the back of the store and demanded money from the safe.
He fled on foot with $2,500, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Anyone with information about the robbery was encouraged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3000.
