Burbank landlord allegedly sprays bleach into tenants face during argument
A tenant at a Burbank apartment complex was hospitalized Tuesday after her landlord allegedly attacked her with bleach after a verbal spat, police said.
The landlord -- Donald Rohwer, 65 -- was working in the woman’s apartment in the 1000 block of West Angeleno Avenue at around 3 p.m. when the pair got into an argument about the work being done, said Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick.
Reportedly feeling “threatened,” Rohwer allegedly sprayed the woman’s face with a bleach and water solution, Kendrick said.
Officers arrested Rohwer on suspicion of battery with a caustic chemical.
