Man robbed at knifepoint near park in Burbank, police say

<br /><small><a style="color: #0000ff; text-align: left;" href=";source=embed&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=1100+West+Olive+Avenue,+burbank&amp;aq=&amp;sll=34.229829,-118.249101&amp;sspn=0.056842,0.077162&amp;gl=us&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=1100+W+Olive+Ave,+Burbank,+Los+Angeles,+California+91506&amp;t=m&amp;z=14&amp;ll=34.171255,-118.318263">View Larger Map</a></small> <p>A man walking near George Izay Park in Burbank was robbed at knifepoint on Friday, police said.</p> <p>At 4:40 p.m., the victim was approached by a roughly 16-year-old male who, brandishing a knife, demanded money and his cell phone, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz.</p> <p>Fearing for his safety, the victim gave up his cell phone, Ruiz said.</p> <p>The suspect then bolted through the park -- which is in the 1100 block of West Olive Avenue -- and out of sight.
