Roughly 770 Burbank Water and Power customers were out of power Monday afternoon after power lines were downed amid high winds at around 3 p.m., officials said.

Affected neighborhoods were between Mariposa Street, Ontario Street, Vanowen Street and Victory, said Burbank Water and Power spokesman Joe Flores.

As of 4 p.m., utility crews were on the scene working to restore power, Flores said.

The cause of the outage was not immediately available.

The National Weather Service extended high wind warnings into Tuesday morning amid possible gusts of up to 80 mph.
