Two Pacoima teens were arrested Friday after allegedly stealing an iPod, purse, wallet and other items from three cars in Burbank, police said.

At around 1:15 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard after callers reported that two young males smashed the back window of a Volkswagen, grabbed the items inside and ran away, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz.

Police located the suspects, who were 16 and 17 years old, after searching the area, Ruiz said. Their identities were not released because they’re minors.

Based on the investigation and the property police reportedly recovered from the suspects, officers tied the pair to two other car break-ins in the 400 block of Angeleno Avenue and the 600 block of East Olive Avenue, Ruiz said.

The 16-year-old suspect was booked at Sylmar juvenile hall, and the 17-year-old was cited and released to his parents with a pending court date.
