[Updated 1:12 p.m.] Firefighters knocked down a fire at a carpet store in Burbank Monday afternoon, an official said.

The blaze started at approximately 10:18 a.m. in the 100 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard and was contained by 12:30 p.m., said Burbank Fire Chief Tom Lenahan. The structure still has some hot spots and will be monitored by officials throughout the afternoon and evening, he added.

No one was in the building at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported, said Lenaham.

About 90 firefighters from Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena responded to the fire and prevented it from spreading to other structures, he said.

An arson investigator is currently assessing the incident, said Lenahan. Officials do not currently know the cause of the fire or the loss,
