Two North Hollywood men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven in Burbank while a plainclothes detective with Los Angeles Police Department happened to be outside, police said.

At 10:40 p.m., Jerome Collins, 30, and Connie Walker, 34, allegedly entered the store – located in the 200 block of Hollywood Way – and demanded the clerk open the register and back away, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

They allegedly took off with $200, which was later recovered, Ryburn said.

The plaincloths detective witnessed the alleged robbery, and called the police. The two men were stopped at Victory Boulevard and Claire Street and arrested on suspicion of robbery.

They are each being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
