Pedestrian struck and killed in North Hollywood; driver in custody

A driver was in custody Tuesday after his car allegedly struck and killed a man in North Hollywood, police said.

The victim, in his 30s, was standing behind a parked van on the 7300 block of Clyborn Avenue about 6 a.m., putting on shoes, when he was crushed between the moving car and the van, said Sgt. David Delgada of the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.

“The collision actually forced the vehicle that was hit into two other parked vehicles,” Delgado said.
