Jogger struck by SUV while crossing Glenoaks Boulevard in Burbank

A 70-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries Wednesday morning after she was struck by an SUV while jogging through a Burbank crosswalk, police said.

At around 8:30 a.m., the pedestrian was crossing Glenoaks Boulevard at Alameda Avenue when, about 12-feet past the concrete center divider, she was struck by the Honda SUV, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

The woman was being treated for cuts and contusions to her face, Ryburn said.

The 62-year-old driver told police he was turning on a green arrow, Ryburn said, but the investigation remained ongoing.
