A 53-year-old Burbank man died Sunday night after being struck by a car while he was reportedly jaywalking across Olive Avenue, police said.

At around 10 p.m., the man, who was not immediately identified, ran across the street in the 2800 block of Olive Avenue and was struck by a passing car, said Burbank Police Lt. John Dilibert.

Dilibert added that the man was not in a crosswalk when he was hit.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Dilibert said.

This marks the third pedestrian-related collision in Burbank during the last two weeks.

On July 17, a 70-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries after being hit by an SUV while crossing Glenoaks Boulevard at Alameda Avenue. And last week, two women, one 60 years old and the other 70, were seriously hurt after being struck by an SUV while crossing Parish Place at Olive Avenue.
