Three men were arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly trying to break into a Burbank liquor store, police said.

A witness called police just after 3 a.m. to report seeing James Anderson, 21, Wardell Wood, 23, and Dominique Lewis, 24, near the rear door of La Paz Liquor, located at 4101 West Magnolia Blvd., said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Police arrested Anderson at the scene, where they also recovered a pry bar, while Wood and Lewis attempted to flee northbound on Pass Avenue. The pair was located shortly after a couple blocks away, allegedly hiding in a car which contained more burglary tools, Ryburn said.

No inventory was reported stolen, but the rear door to the business was damaged, Ryburn said.
