Burbank man pleads not guilty to abuse charges
A Burbank man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of ongoing sexual abuse against a child, authorities said.
The man – identified as Daniel Lee Gibson, 52 – was arrested Monday after his juvenile daughter reported being sexually abused on an ongoing basis for a three-year period, police said.
Gibson was charged with one count of continuous sexual abuse, three counts of sexual penetration with a foreign object, and three counts of lewd act upon a child, said Los Angeles County district attorney’s spokeswoman Shiara Dávila-Morales.
The alleged crimes occurred between 2006 and 2009, she added.
Gibson is being held in lieu of $850,000 bail.
