City seeks Starlight Bowl input from residents

Share

Residents with ideas on structural or programming improvements for the Starlight Bowl amphitheater can attend a community meeting next week to share their thoughts.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the McCambridge Recreation Center, located at 1515 North Glenoaks Blvd.

“We’re just really excited to delve in and learn more about what this community really would like to see up there,” said Gaby Flores, deputy director of park, recreation and community services.

The city-owned venue, which was built in 1950, can host up to 5,000 people for concerts and other events. Residents will be asked to weigh in on their vision for structural improvements, whether having to do with the venue’s restrooms or traffic flow, and offer ideas for new programs or events.

“This is a community gem. We want to make sure it has the attention it needs,” Flores said.

For more information, call the Starlight Bowl at (818) 238-5435.
