School safety forum planned by police

Share

The Burbank Police Commission will host a community forum Wednesday on safety and security in Burbank schools.

Burbank police, along with school district officials, will report on how they’re tackling school safety issues, including bullying, mental health and traffic safety around schools, according to Police Commissioner Hagop Hergelian.

“This is a way to report to the community on what the police department is doing in working with their schools as far as the safety and security of our students,” Hergelian said. “We want everybody to come out there and ask questions and express their concerns.”

The forum will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium at Luther Burbank Middle School, located at 3700 W. Jeffries Ave
