Thieves make off with construction tools
Thieves stole $1,500 worth of construction tools this week from an unoccupied Burbank home that’s being remodeled, police said.
Sometime between 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, unidentified burglars pried open the garage door of the home – located in the 1700 block of Rose Street – and took off with sandpaper, a drill, compressor and grinder, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
“Even though the house is under construction, you’ve got to secure everything – even those things locked in the garage,” Ryburn said.
