Police arrest two teens for allegedly stealing a woman’s cellphone
Two teens were cited and released Monday after allegedly snatching a cellphone from a woman in downtown Burbank, police said.
The 42-year-old woman was walking in the 200 block of East Palm Avenue at around 5 p.m. when the 16-year-old males ran up behind her and one grabbed the cellphone from her hand, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
The suspects, who were not identified because they are minors, then fled on foot.
Police located the pair in the area of First Street and Magnolia Boulevard, Ryburn said. The phone was not recovered.
The suspects were cited on suspicion of robbery and released to their guardians. The two teens are due in court next month.
