Share

Froyo Bliss, a Burbank yogurt shop that opened just eight months ago, was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

At around 12:35 p.m., a man entered the shop brandishing a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk, a man in his 40s, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Carlos Gomez.

The robber was described by police as a white man in his early 20s, roughly 6 feet tall, with a “thin build.” He wore a long-sleeved shirt or jacket.

When he entered the store, the suspect pulled his shirt up to cover his face, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

No customers were inside the shop at the time of the incident, Gomez added.

The suspect reportedly made off with hundreds of dollars, though police declined to state the specific amount.

With the cash, the suspect left the store, which is located at 101 N. Victory Blvd., and fled toward the rear alley. No getaway vehicle was seen.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210.
