Burbank man arrested in reported beating

Police have arrested a 22-year-old Burbank man in the reported beating and stabbing attack that left a Sunland man hospitalized with severe head and body injuries Saturday evening.

Eric Wang was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after police discovered the victim on the sidewalk of the 1600 block of West Alameda Avenue with severe upper body and head injuries around 7:30 p.m., Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said in a statement.

The victim, who appeared to have been stabbed, was transported to the hospital where he is reportedly in critical condition.

Further details were not immediately available.

Wang was held in lieu of $500,000 bail and is due in court Tuesday.
