Burbank church hosts flea market’s debut

Share

The Burbank Junk Trunk Flea Market officially opened for business Saturday in the elementary school parking lot of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.

The market, which was originally slated to be on the grounds of John Muir Middle School, changed its venue after city officials discovered the for-profit business was not allowed on public school grounds.

The church has pledged to give any money it receives from the flea market to the family of 12-year-old Christopher Wilke, a Burbank resident recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
