Letter: Story needs one more brush stroke
Fourth grade students paint on a school wall at R.L. Stevenson Elementary School in Burbank on Monday, September 22, 2014. The mural, under the direction of local artist Henry Goods, will have participation from all of the school’s students. It was funded by a grant from “Burbank Arts for All”, the school PTA, and the school booster club Families for Stevenson.

Thank you for covering the story “Recreating ‘Treasure Island,’” (Sept. 27). It is wonderful to see our Burbank community come together to support the arts in our public schools. I want to send a special thank you to Catalina Paints in Burbank for donating all the paint and brushes for the project. Their name was left out of the article. We rely on local businesses to help fund many of the programs at our schools. Burbank businesses are a critical part of building a strong community. Support Burbank businesses for a stronger community.
