When the Lady Legends had their incredible run at the 2010 Little League Softball World Series ended by a Georgia team 8-6, it was a loss for the game, but not their season.
Months of impressive work on the field took them where no other Little League team before them had gone: the World Series. They represented an entire Burbank community on the field, where their game was broadcast nationwide on ESPN.
Their loss was a hard one to swallow, no doubt, but they certainly succeeded in living up to their team name. It was a “legendary” run, for which they deserve the accolades of an entire city.
