Appreciative of Caneday’s brilliance

Every time I read Patrick Caneday I tell myself, “email and tell this man how much you enjoy his brilliant writing.” Then I forget to do so.

So here it is, to The Leader, with a copy to you, Patrick — the ultimate compliment: Patrick, you help to fill a void left by Al Martinez and the master himself, Jack Smith.

Now I’ve done it, and I feel better.
