Thanks for Bar & Grill fundraising efforts

Kudos to Burbank Bar & Grill for hosting the recent annual anniversary fundraising luncheon benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley.

I was extremely impressed by their generosity in opening up their facility and donating 100% of the proceeds to the nonprofit. In these tough economic times, while Burbank’s programs for children are being cut throughout the city, there are still businesses who go above and beyond in supporting Burbank youth at their own expense.

Investing in our children today is the best way to build a foundation of responsible, independent citizens who will grow into the leaders of tomorrow.

It was great to see so many city leaders and community members come out to show their support as well. I had never been to Burbank Bar & Grill prior to the luncheon, but I will certainly return to support them in every way I can.

Thank you to the owners for setting an example that other businesses should be encouraged to follow.
