Beckley is a Burbank treasure

Thank you for your wonderful article on Barbara Beckley of the Colony Theatre in Sunday’s edition (“She helped Colonize Burbank,” Aug. 19). We are so happy to see her getting the recognition she so richly deserves as artistic director of the theater.

We have been subscribers to the Colony for 23 years, and Beckley has been responsible for producing some of the most moving theatrical experiences we have ever had. We have subscriptions to the Ahmanson, the Mark Taper, the Pantages and the Falcon, but if we could only have one subscription it would be the Colony. Year after year the Colony continues to provide Burbank with the finest-quality theater at very affordable ticket prices.

Barbara Beckley is truly a Burbank treasure.
