Questions about the police department

What is happening to the Burbank Police Department? Would it be better if we hired an independent police department? And what happened to Scott La Chasse? Is he still available as a permanent police chief and would it be a good idea to hire him?

An independent review board has found that we are still making progress. Thank goodness. Why does a responsible city like Burbank have so many problems with its police department? I’m sure it bothers people. It certainly bothers me. Maybe we should investigate the review board. Are they investigating earnestly or are they out to lunch?

If I get stopped by a police officer, I want to feel I’m getting a genuine interpretation of the law, one I can trust and believe in. Let’s hope that’s true and will become more so in the future.
