Congratulations and thank you to Burbank officials

I would like to send out a congratulations to Bob Frutos, David Gordon and Jesse Talamantes on their election wins, as well as a sincere thank you to Dave Golonski for his years as a council member and mayor of our great city.

Thanks for your insight, your temperament, your honest appraisals and your care for the environment. Your presence will be missed and you leave a legacy that will not be forgotten. I note that some of the groups you fought for were the least politically connected and many of us will never forget that. Just a few you fought for were the day laborers, the homeless, and the families who utilize services from our great non-profit groups here in Burbank.

To Frutos, Gordon and Talamantes: I hope that you see that you represent our future here in Burbank. We in Burbank are a tight, caring community and I hope that is reflected in the policies that you will be developing, reviewing and exercising. I am excited for what the future holds, and I hope that excitement does not degrade into political norms such as isolationism, paranoia and divisiveness. My only hope is that Burbank’s residents, businesses and local environment are your first and foremost priorities. Good luck to all three of you!
