Bike path is one of L.A.’s best secrets
One of the best kept secrets in the San Fernando Valley, where I live in Burbank, is the bike path running along sections of the Los Angeles River, which once was free-flowing from the mountains to Long Beach, where it reaches the sea.
Today much of it is a huge concrete ditch, but there are also stretches that are wild with trees and exotic birds that you won’t see anywhere else in LA. Sunnynook River Park is a beautiful project just completed and due to open soon along the river near Griffith Park.
