DWP comparison ignores demographics

Share

I keep getting correspondence from DWP, comparing my usage of water and electricity to that of my neighbors who mostly are employed and not home all day. My wife and I are both 80 and retired. Should I not water my lawn and take showers? Should I not watch TV all day? Or, better yet, should we both go back to work so we could improve our utility conservation?

I have no easy solution for this, except to let my lawn go brown, quit watching TV, quit listening to the radio, stop turning on any lights during the day, quit using my computer, etc. We are living in an electronic age, and I don’t think there is an easy solution.
