Dimples and the decline of the city

Re: “Development could silence Dimples,” Aug. 28. As a longtime resident of Burbank, I have sadly started seeing the decline of this town.

There is mansionization and massive town homes, condos and apartments are being constructed while single-family homes and historic buildings are torn down.

We have congestion on the rise, which makes my blood pressure rise, as a usual 10-minute drive now takes twice as long.

So what is the benefit of this proposed apartment complex with Whole Foods? None. It is just insane. We have too much congestion in the media area. I am not sure that this is the right place for Whole Foods, either. Why not put Whole Foods in the Walmart building? A better company and a better home. Save Dimples.
